24 songs to be the background music for the most epic adventures yet to come.
[and no. I couldnt make an entire playlist without at least one song by Brand New ;)]

Last Night I came home from my party and kissed Tubbs after midnight. She was my New Year's Kiss this year. :)

Last Night's "New Years Eve Photobooth" was a really fun success! Thanks to everyone for participating and thanks to Travis at the Jet Loft for being such a great host, and kicking off the New Year right!

This morning I sat down and wrote my list of Resolutions:

• Get Where I am going
• Learn to Craft More!
• Do more fun things
• Do more things for me
• Work Faster
• Avoid Negatives
• Make Life what I want it to be

I have lots of photos to sort through from last night, and two EP's to make this week! 2010 is going to be a good year, filled with many adventures and lots of new starts.

Happy New Year, Everyone!

Recording Studio Sessions

I've recently had the opportunity to start documenting bands while they're in the process of tracking and recording new albums. It's been a really interesting and exciting.

Music is one of my biggest influences for photography and sparks most of my inspiration, so being able to see what all really goes into the process of making an album has been extremely intriguing. It's an amazing collaboration of raw talent, notes, sounds, vocals, inspiration and pure energy and emotion. I feel privileged to be around while all of this is going on since recording is so personal and such an emotional process. Long hours, long nights, cigarette breaks, recording and then re-recording the same songs and sounds over and over again for a 5 second beat difference you or I wouldn't have noticed, just to make sure that final product is perfect.

The pictures in this post are from my recording experience so far with Eli Chastain (myspace.com/elctunes) in the studio with Wes DeBoy (myspace.com/wesdeboy)

I'm excited to continue doing this. I'll be posting more updates as time goes on so keep an eye out! :)

Revival

I took these awhile ago and completely forgot about them until now! I am particularly fond of them, this was by far my favorite location to date. They were published in 2009's Best of College.

Chasing Canadia

awhile ago I did a shoot for the band Chasing Canadia.

They're fun, fresh, talented, artistic minds with catchy hooks and fast poppy beats! About to release their newest EP "There's no place like home"

Give them a listen, they'll keep you smiling.
